Rescue – Bishop Wilton – 3rd November, 14:35 (106/2021)
Called by Yorkshire Ambulance Service to reports of a lady with an ankle injury in the vicinity of Bishop Wilton. The ambulance service had a Responder with the patient but asked for our assistance to extract her down a ‘muddy track’. Once immediate casualty care had been carried out by the ambulance service we helped her into a casualty bag (large weatherproof fleece lined sleeping bag) and then carried her to the waiting ambulance on one of our stretchers. We had nine team members deployed for three hours.
