Rescue – Falling Foss – 23rd July 15:20 (62/2021)
After sending our patient from incident 61/2021 off to hospital we were alerted by a member of the public to an unrelated incident close to the track running from the car park to the Falling Foss team rooms. We redeployed three team members to scene to find a 74 year old female who had fallen and sustained a significant wound on the inside of her upper lip and a scuffed knee. After washing her facial wound and stemming the bleeding we gave her pain relief before walking her back to the car park. She was then driven home by her family with advice to attend A and E or a minor injuries department to have the wound checked. We had fourteen team members deployed for a total of five hours on the two incidents with considerable kit cleaning and repacking needed this evening.
