Rescue – Goathland – 22 June 2023; 14:44 – 35/2023
Called by Yorkshire Ambulance Service to reports of a lady who had sustained a lower leg injury in the boulder field at the base of the Mallyan Spout waterfall.
After initial assessment and treatment by team members we carried her back up the track on one of our stretchers to a waiting ambulance for transport to definitive medical care.
As is becoming the norm for rescues in and around Goathland we are grateful to the volunteer crew from North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service Goathland for helping us with the evacuation.
We had nine team members deployed for three and a quarter hours.
