Scarborough and Ryedale Mountain Rescue are very pleased to be a Charity Partner for this years Sundown 60 Cycle Sportive.
The Sundown 60 is a carefully crafted route rolls straight out in the Wolds of East Yorkshire having magnificent views for miles. Where we start late in the day, intentionally getting you back to the brewery for Sundown, this 60-mile route, whilst challenging with a few tasty climbs is achievable for everyone as we don’t want you too fatigued when you get back to the finish. With a feed stop halfway at Thixendale where you can grab a brew and catch up with your riding buddies before continuing on and passing through the stunning village of Sledmere.
The route itself passes through many of the Wolds villages, Wold Newton, Weaverthorpe, North Grimston, Leavening and Fimber to name but a few.
Bring some friends along for the party Sportive, the Sundown 60 and help raise funds for Scarborough and Ryedale Mountain Rescue.
Fundraising option
Pay a £50 registration fee to secure your charity place and then pledge to raise a minimum sponsorship of £100 by one month after the event. A charity place with Scarborough and Ryedale Mountain Rescue Team gives you dedicated fundraising support from our team and a free exclusive Team Moorjock cycling top.

Self-Donate option
Prefer not to ask for sponsorship but still want a charity place in the Sundown 60? You can choose to cover the minimum fundraising yourself and self-donate £150 to secure your place. There is no further fundraising required with this option, but you can still set up a page if you would like to. You’ll receive full support from our team including a free exclusive Team Moorjock cycling top.

Own place
If you have bought your own place in the event, directly from the Sundown 60 website, you can still join Team Moorjock. You’ll get all the benefits like a free exclusive Team Moorjock cycling top. and fundraising advice. There’s no minimum sponsorship requirement, we just ask you to raise as much as you can for Scarborough and Ryedale Mountain Rescue.
