Rescue – Farndale – 18th August 2024:13:56 – 40/2024
Called by North Yorkshire Police via Cleveland Mountain Rescue Team to reports of a lone walker who had reported herself lost on moorland above Farndale.
Despite limited mobile coverage her location was established and a number of team members were dispatched to escort her off the moor and ferry her back to her car.
We had further team members on standby should a more protracted search turn out to be needed.
Team deployed for four hours.
