Search – Filey – 24/25 Dec, 20:08 – 60/2023
****update North Yorkshire Police report the gentleman was found safe and well in Bridlington later in the morning *****
Called by North Yorkshire Police to Filey Country Park to assist in the search for a 53 year old male vulnerable missing person reported missing to the police earlier in the day. His last confirmed sighting was to the north of Filey and the police has a number of specific area of interest to the North and South of the town they asked us to search.
Shortly after seeing Christmas Day in and having completed all the area without a find the team were stood down pending further information or intelligence coming to light.
In an unrelated incident (61/2023) while team members were being transported from the last search area to the country park the team vehicle was flagged down by members of the public to an other gentleman collapsed on the road side. Shortly after we attended the gentleman he had recovered sufficiently to refuse future assistance and determined he could make the short walk home to his home address.
In all we had ten team members deployed for five an three quarter hours.
