Called by Yorkshire Ambulance Service to reports of a female runner who had sustained an ankle injury on the Cinder Track south of Whitby.
We established her exact location through PhoneFind and once team members arrived on scene we treated her injury then carried her to a waiting ambulance which had got close to the scene after which she was transported to definitive medical care.
Thanks to the passing horse rider who kindly transported some of our kit to scene. We had fourteen team members deployed for just over three hours.
