Rescue – Hole of Horcum – 13th August 23:38 (72/2021)
Called by North Yorkshire Police to assist in the search for a high risk vulnerable missing person whose car had been found at Saltergate car park. While deploying we were advised that a National Police Air Service (NPAS) aircraft had spotted the lady but she had fallen down steep ground. Once on scene we determined she had sustained a hip injury and was suffering from the cold. After treatment on scene she was transferred to a team stretcher and recovered to the car park where the Police arranged transport to definitive medical care. Eleven team members deployed for five a half hours.
