Rescue – Birdsall – 11th July 14:25 (57/2021)
Full team callout to treat and a competitor at a mountain bike event who had suffered a fall from his bike at speed. Due to the mechanism of injury and the fact that the gentleman had no recollection of the incident after initial assessment on scene we packed him in a vacuum mattress and evacuated him on one of our stretchers to a waiting ambulance.
