Rescue – Thomason Foss – 19th June 14:45 (50/2021)
Called by Yorkshire Ambulance Service to reports of lady with a lower leg injury at Thomason Foss near Goathland. While responding to this incident Yorkshire Ambulance Service also asked us to respond to reports of a gentleman with a hip injury near Ruswarp which resulted in the team responding to two concurrent incidents with vehicles and team members deploying to both.
Knowing the carry out at Thomason Foss is difficult, over a boulder field, narrow slippery paths and steep ground (with the use of ropes) we requested the and received the assistance of firefighters from Goathland Volunteer Fire Station, North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service. Sixteen team members deployed for two and three quarter hours.
